This statement was a major discussion point in today’s master class with the management team of a global supplier of foils from the Netherlands. I presented the example of surgeons who studied Ferraris Formula One pit crew.

The implications are profound: Ideas that are routine in one industry can be downright revolutionary when they migrate to another industry, especially when those ideas challenge the prevailing assumptions and the conventional wisdom that have come to define so many industries.
